A lifelong love of textiles, made into something personal
I’ve worked with textiles for most of my career, from studying Textiles at university and working within the garment industry to creating bespoke soft furnishings and interiors for homes today.
That experience means I understand more than how a fabric looks. I understand how it behaves, how it needs to be made and how to find practical solutions for the quirks that make every home different.
Most importantly, I believe creating a beautiful home should be an enjoyable process. I’m here to listen, share ideas and bring everything together with you, so you can feel confident in the choices you make and love the home you create.

Every home has its own character. There are beautiful original features to work around, awkward windows to solve, rooms where the light changes everything and much-loved pieces of furniture that need to become part of the overall scheme. Choosing bespoke gives us the freedom to consider all of those details rather than trying to make a standard solution fit.
When I create curtains, blinds and soft furnishings for your home, we’ll look at much more than the fabric you love. I’ll consider the proportions of the room, how you use the space, the natural light, privacy, existing colours and furnishings, and how the finished piece needs to work practically day to day. My background in textiles also means I understand how different fabrics behave and how they can be used to achieve the right finish.
Choosing bespoke also gives you the opportunity to invest in quality. Instead of replacing something that was never quite right in the first place, you can choose fabrics and finishes carefully and have pieces made specifically for your home, with the craftsmanship and attention to detail needed to last.

Amelia is an extremely experienced interior designer and soft furnishing maker. She listened carefully to my ideas and offered helpful suggestions for curtains, furniture and accessories, backed up with pictures, links to websites and colour swatches.

Notes from the sewing room...
Thoughts on fabric, colour, interiors and the decisions that make a house feel like home. This is where I share some of the ideas, practical advice and inspiration I gather through my work, from choosing the right window treatment and understanding how different fabrics behave to finding those finishing touches that can bring an entire room together.
There’ll also be thoughts on living with the things we choose, investing in pieces that will last and creating rooms that feel personal rather than prescribed by the latest trend. Because beautiful interiors need to work for real life too, including muddy shoes, family life and, occasionally, a cat who has very definite opinions about the soft furnishings.
